Made of carbon steel & hardened, this plug cutter is very well-built, durable, & cuts clean holes in soft woods & most hardwoods. These tapered type plug cutters cut fast & make smooth chamfered plugs for easy starting in counterbored holes. After cutting, the plug remains in the board & can be broken out with a screwdriver, or the board can be sawed to free the plug. The plug diameter is tapered slightly from on size to .025" oversize.
